Comprehensive

Dental Services

General Dentistry

At Bowes Road Dental, we encourage all our patients to attend regular dental examinations and hygienist visits. Our patients often tell us that the reason they attend on a regular basis is to spot any problems early, meaning only minimal treatment is necessary. This couldn’t be more accurate.
Regular attendance helps us to help you maintain your oral health in the long term.

We offer a full range of dental services, from examinations and hygienist cleans, to fillings and
extractions, to replacement of missing teeth with bridges and implants. In addition to our General Dentistry services, we also offer cosmetic options, such as Invisalign, tooth whitening, smile make overs.

Smile Makeover

Whenever we think about smile makeover, we think building a patient’s confidence when they smile, meaning we are looking at mainly the front teeth. There are many techniques we can use to build these smiles, however, without planning, this can often be unpredictable and not produce results we are after. Therefore, we will always start any smile makeover cases with a cosmetic consultation. Smile makeovers can include orthodontics, tooth whitening, composite bonding, ceramic veneers/crowns and this is where the consultation is very important, as all the options, the process and costings for the treatment will be explained.

Invisalign

Invisalign is a branch of orthodontics whereby clear discreet braces will move the teeth quickly and safely. Using the latest technologies and digital scanners, we are able to provide a simulation of how your teeth can look after the Invisalign treatment. Although it is a simulation, it is very accurate in showing what movements can be achieved. While other clear aligner systems place emphasis on
appearance rather than the final outcome of the bite, Invisalign ensures we achieve the most aesthetic appearance whilst maintaining a stable bite, so to reduce risk of jaw issues in the future.

Implants

Implants are perfect to fill gaps where teeth are missing. At Bowes Road Dental Practice, we are proud to offer in-house implant treatment delivered by our highly experienced team. With the use of state-of-the-art equipment, top end products, and careful planning, our aim is to make the experience as comfortable as possible whilst returning your smile back to you.

Why choose Dental Implants?

Dental implants are increasingly becoming the way people want to fill any gaps that have been left
where teeth have been removed (extracted). Using the latest technology, and one of the best
implant systems in the world, we are able to replace missing teeth with the most natural feel and
the most aesthetically pleasing.

An implant is a small titanium screw which is placed in the jaw bone. Once this implant screw has integrated with the bone, a restoration will be placed over this which will function, feel and look like the real thing.

Tooth Whitening

Tooth whitening is becoming an increasingly popular treatment to produce a more confident smile
quickly and efficiently. The process involves fabricating custom-made trays which are made specific to your mouth. You are then provided with these trays along with a starter pack of whitening gels to kick start your whitening journey. At Bowes Road Dental Practice, we provide 6% hydrogen peroxide, or 16% carbamide peroxide gels. These gel concentrations cannot be bought over the counter. They
can only be prescribed by a Dental Professional. As the distribution is highly regulated, the whitening gels are very safe to use.

Although whitening the teeth can slightly increase tooth sensitivity, this is very short lived and can be very easily controlled with the use of sensitive toothpastes, such as Sensodyne.

Hygiene Therapy

A hygienist is one of most crucial members of the Dental team. Our experienced hygienist works
alongside our Dentists to give your teeth the very best and deepest cleans, as well as provide advice for you to do all you can at home to maintain the health of your teeth and gums.

Each hygiene appointment with our dedicated Hygienist includes a thorough assessment of the
gums and bone levels, as well as bleeding levels of the gums. This provides a clear indication of the
type of periodontal treatment that you would require. With direct access to our Hygienist, you don’t even need to see a Dentist to refer you to the Hygienist. Speak to a member of our team about booking in for a hygienist appointment.
